What should I wear?
Wear clothes which are comfortable. Casual clothes are fine. Regarding shoes, our only recommendation is that you do not wear trainers and ladies should wear shoes with at least a small heel. Trainers and ladies shoes which are flat make it difficult to move.
Do I need a partner?
You do not need to have a partner to join our dance classes. Both individuals and couples are welcome to join in classes and private lessons.
Do I have to pay in advance for dance lessons?
There is no need to pay in advance. We charge £8.00 per person per lesson. You can pay by bank transfer (we will let you have our banking details) or by cash.
Can I join a beginner class after it has started?
New beginner classes are open to new people joining up to the third week of the course.
Which dances will I learn?
The six week beginner course covers: slow rhythm, waltz, quickstep, cha cha cha and jive. For improvers and intermediate level, we introduce Tango, Slow Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Samba and Paso Doble. We also teach some sequence dances.
In addition to Ballroom and Latin American dances, we can teach a range of different dance styles including; Argentine Tango, Rock n Roll, Mambo, Salsa, Bossa Nova, Charleston and American Smooth.
